Familiarity with project management software (like Microsoft Project, Asana, or Jira) and certifications such as PMP or PRINCE2 are commonly expected. Outstanding communication, negotiation, and adaptability set exceptional project managers apart. These skills and qualifications are crucial for delivering projects on time, within scope, and fostering effective teamwork.

The average salary for a project manager ranges from $70,000 to $120,000 annually, depending on experience, industry, and location. Senior project managers or those with specialized skills and certifications like PMP can earn higher salaries, often exceeding $130,000 per year.

  • Collaborate closely with site management teams to ensure construction activities are executed safely and efficiently.
  • Monitor quality control and quality assurance processes throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, municipal authorities, and community stakeholders.
  • Support commissioning, occupancy planning, deficiency management, and project turnover activities.
Qualifications

  • Proven experience delivering large-scale institutional, healthcare, hospital, long-term care, retirement residence, or public-sector projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts, procurement methods, scheduling, budgeting, and project controls.
  • Demonstrated experience managing projects valued in excess of $50 million.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Ontario Building Code requirements and institutional construction practices.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, MS Project, Procore, Bluebeam, and other construction management software.
