Project Manager

Project Overview: This PM will be assisting in the management of Fortify projects including some redesign for the Mainframe security system.

Contractors role: Assist with the coordination of specific project support including:

  • Leading, planning, managing and directing a project team to accomplish the objectives of a project with limited, local objectives
  • Develops project plans with assigned tasks, milestones/deliverables and oversee budgets
  • Candidate will be responsible for project documentation, project schedule, meeting agendas, minutes, status reporting, etc.

Experience: Senior

Qualifications:

  • Experience in managing technical and functional requirements and responsibilities with more focus/ split on the technology side
  • Experience Managing multiple stakeholders and workstreams.
  • Experience supporting hardware and software projects
  • Materials for monthly steer and budget tracking experience
  • Has expertise in managing all phases of systems development from concept through implementation and maintenance.
  • The individual should be competent in all areas of project management.
  • Strong written and verbal communication Skills
  • Strong Organizational skills

Nice to have:

  • Candidate should be familiar with technology infrastructure (Servers/Storage/Network)
  • Understanding of Agile Methodology
  • Experience in specific technology: Mainframe, ACF2, etc. is a plus
  • Past experience in Cyber Security Projects

Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Overall responsibility for structuring a project, performing the detailed planning, and managing project execution and completion of moderate or large projects
  • Defines the phase deliverables, tracks milestones and incurred expenses versus planned expenses, schedules roles and resources, evaluates risks and recommends contingency plans
  • Manages the development of the technical strategy
  • Assigns resources and tasks, and manages quality assurance, resolution of issues, status reviews and reporting, development of standards, change control, customer support, and compliance with all policies and procedures.
  • Able to facilitate workshops such as JAD, RAD and DRP sessions
  • Reports changes in project timelines, resources, or budget
  • Report risks and issues during the life of projects and create mitigation plans to remove any obstacles
  • May take part in auditing documentations of their peers
  • May provide coaching to Jr. Project or Project Coordinators

Required Skills: experience working in waterfall environment, project management, portfolio project management, security background, cyber security background, infrastructure background, experience managing multiple stakeholders and workstreams, experience supporting hardware and software projects.

Basic Qualification: strong oral and written communication skills, organizational skills, experience managing technical and functional requirements and responsibilities.
