Project Manager / Project Executive – New Construction (Charlotte, NC)

Industry: Commercial Painting (Drywall experience also considered)
Employment: Full-Time
Travel: Local site + client visits (50%+ field presence) — No overnight travel


About the Role

A growing commercial contractor in Charlotte is expanding its New Construction division and seeking an experienced Project Manager or Project Executive to lead major commercial paint/drywall projects. This person will step into an active backlog, support newly awarded work, and serve as a key client-facing representative for the business.

If you're polished, relationship-driven, and comfortable running large commercial projects, this is a strong long-term opportunity.


Key Responsibilities
  • Manage new construction projects from award through closeout

  • Maintain strong client relationships through regular site visits and meetings

  • Lead change order negotiations and resolve A/B-level issues

  • Partner with internal APMs/PMs who handle much of the operational workload

  • Ensure project schedules, budgets, and quality benchmarks are met

  • Professionally represent the company with owners, GCs, and project partners
