Job description

Seeking an experienced construction state manager who is responsible for overseeing several different types of construction projects. They will lead the project from initiation to close, responsible ensuring the quality, timeliness, and budget adherence of all projects. This person should be knowledgeable about regulations, permits, codes, & project management methodology. They should also be highly organized, detail-oriented, able to meet deadlines, and both an accountable self-starter and high-quality teammate.

Responsibilities

  • Define the project scope of work & collaborate with our Estimating Team to create a construction estimate within client specifications
  • Create and manage a construction project budget
  • Develop a construction schedule, with project deliverables and milestones
  • Perform regular on-site visits to track progress & quality of work, & troubleshoot
  • Create status reports for project stakeholders
  • Oversee the performance of the general contractor, site manager and other members of the construction team
  • Ensure that all work includes required building permits, licenses and meets code regulations
  • Manage resources such as construction materials, labor, and equipment as required
  • Maintain health and safety standards
  • Ensure all BCM field procedures are followed

Education & Training

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management preferred

  • Five years of project management experience in the construction industry
  • Years of construction management experience managing budgets and schedules
  • Prior experience managing a construction site
