Job Description:

Role Overview

The Senior Project Manageris responsible forthe planning, execution, monitoring, andsuccessful delivery of large-scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects.This role leads cross-functional teams, manages project schedules, budgets, risks, and stakeholder communications, and serves as thecentral pointof coordination between clients, contractors, suppliers, and Fluence project resources.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience managing complex projects within the energy, power, industrial,petrochemicalor battery storage sectors. The Senior Project Manager is expectedtomaintainfull project visibility, drive execution, proactively manage risks, and ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Planning & Execution:Lead the planning and execution of large-scale projects, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource management.Monitor project progress against the master schedule and drive resolution of schedule, cost, and execution risks.

  • Leadership & Team Management:Manageand coordinate cross-functional teams across engineering, procurement,logistics, construction, and commissioning.

  • Communication & Stakeholder ManagementServe as the primary point of contact for clients, stakeholders, contractors, and internal teams.

  • Monitoring & Reporting:Trackproject performance, prepare status updates, andmaintainvisibility of key deliverables and action items.

  • Risk Management:Identifyand mitigate project risks, manage escalations, and supportissueand claims resolution.

  • Documentation & ComplianceEnsure project documentation, reporting, and compliance requirements aremaintained.

  • Travel RequirementsTravel approximately 15% or asrequiredfor project site visits, clientmeetingsand team meetings.

Required Qualifications

  • BS/BA degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.

  • Minimum10+ years of experience managing large-scale industrial, power, energy, renewable energy, or BESS projects.

  • Proven experience leading cross-functional teams and coordinating multiple stakeholders.

  • Experience managing projects with contract values of approximately $100M+.

  • Strong leadership, collaboration, and influencing skills.

  • Demonstrated success in client-facing project leadership roles.

  • Strong business acumen and commercial awareness.

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a matrixed and global organization.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience and knowledge of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).

  • EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) project experiencepreferred.

  • Power Plant and/or Substation projectexperiencepreferred.

  • PMP Certification preferred.

  • Lean or Six Sigma certification preferred.
