Sagard is seeking a hands‑on Technical Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex infrastructure and technology initiatives across the firm. This role focuses on bringing structure, clarity and execution discipline to highly technical projects that have historically been managed informally within IT. You will oversee initiatives such as cloud migrations, security enhancements, system upgrades and core infrastructure improvements.

This role reports to the IT Director and has a dotted line to the Digital Solutions team to ensure alignment with project management standards, tools and best practices across the firm.

Compensation: CAD$120,000 to CAD$140,000 base salary.

Responsibilities
  • Lead end‑to‑end delivery of infrastructure and technical projects, ensuring on‑time, on‑budget and in‑scope execution.
  • Develop detailed project plans including timelines, milestones, dependencies and resource allocation.
  • Identify and proactively manage risks, issues and blockers, driving timely resolution.
  • Ensure technical deliverables meet defined performance, reliability and security standards.
  • Translate technical requirements into clearly defined scopes, deliverables and success criteria.
  • Apply consistent project management frameworks, tools and documentation aligned with Digital Solutions standards.
  • Establish clear communication cadences including project updates and steering committees.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts in a clear and structured way to non‑technical audiences.
  • Support the rollout of infrastructure and system changes with minimal disruption to the business.
  • Coordinate testing, release and transition to operations and support teams.
  • Partner with stakeholders to ensure successful adoption of new systems and processes.
  • Contribute to the evolution of project management practices across IT and Digital Solutions.
  • Help build repeatable playbooks for infrastructure and technical project delivery.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, transparency and delivery consistency.
Qualifications
  • 5 to 8 years of experience in technical project management, infrastructure delivery or IT program management.
  • Strong understanding of infrastructure environments (cloud platforms, networks, security, enterprise systems).
  • Proven ability to manage complex, cross‑functional technical projects.
  • Experience working closely with engineers, architects and external vendors.
  • Strong project management fundamentals including planning, risk management, governance and communication.
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into clear business‑friendly language.
  • Experience working with senior stakeholders in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, Smartsheet, MS Project).
  • Experience supporting M&A‑related initiatives (considered an asset).
  • Certification in project management (PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent) considered an asset.
  • For all positions in Québec, proficiency in French and English, both spoken and written, is mandatory. English is required due to regular interaction with colleagues and external partners outside Québec.
