We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Civil Construction Project Manager specializing in civil construction to oversee and manage public and private infrastructure projects throughout Connecticut. Typical projects may include highways, bridges, site development, utility installations, drainage systems, earthwork, roadway improvements, and municipal infrastructure Client Details Our client is a civil construction firm specializing in site work, land development and utility work in CT. They are a family run company and have an excellent reputation in the Connecticut construction market. Description Civil Construction Project Manager Project Management Manage multiple civil construction projects simultaneously from award through completion. Develop project schedules, budgets, work plans, and resource allocations. Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions to maintain schedule and budget objectives. Coordinate project startup, execution, and closeout activities. Ensure all contractual obligations and project specifications are met. General knowledge of Building and Construction codes Client & Stakeholder Management Serve as the primary point of contact for owners, engineers, consultants, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies. Lead project meetings and provide regular status updates to clients and company leadership. Foster positive relationships with municipalities, utility companies, and CTDOT representatives. Financial Management Prepare and manage project budgets, forecasts, cash flow projections, and cost controls. Review and approve subcontractor invoices, change orders, and purchase orders. Track project profitability and identify opportunities for cost savings. Prepare monthly financial reports and project performance updates. Construction Operations Coordinate field operations with superintendents and field staff. Review construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents. Ensure proper manpower, equipment, and materials are available to support project schedules. Manage subcontractor performance and compliance. Safety & Compliance Promote and enforce company safety policies and OSHA standards. Ensure projects comply with federal, state, local, and environmental regulations. Support safety audits, inspections, and incident investigations. Maintain compliance with Connecticut construction regulations and permit requirements. Quality Control Implement and oversee project quality assurance and quality control programs. Conduct project reviews to ensure work is completed according to plans and specifications. Resolve project issues and deficiencies in a timely manner.
