Job Title: Project Accounting Analyst
Reports to: Accounting Manager


Position Summary:
The Accounting Analyst supports project accounting, billing, cost tracking, and financial reporting under the direction of accounting leadership. This role assists with maintaining accurate project financial records, reviewing basic budget activity, preparing reports, and supporting month-end close and project billing tasks. Business conduct must occur in accordance with OMS policies and procedures and be aligned with the goals of OMS.


Essential Functions:
• Assist with project setup, cost codes, purchase orders, change orders, and billing records in the accounting system.
• Track project costs, invoices, payments, billings, and budget-to-actual activity for assigned projects.
• Review vendor and subcontractor invoices for proper coding, approvals, and project assignment.
• Prepare basic project reports, reconciliations, schedules, and supporting documentation.
• Support customer billing, accounts receivable follow-up, and project closeout documentation.
• Assist with month-end close tasks, including journal entry support, accruals, reconciliations, and file maintenance.
• Research discrepancies and communicate findings to accounting and project teams.
• Acknowledge and participate in OMS H&S programs and trainings.
• Other duties as assigned by OMS or the client.


Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or Construction Management. Relevant coursework or experience will be considered.
• Minimum one to five years of accounting, billing, project administration, or finance support experience.
• Basic understanding of debits and credits, general ledger accounts, invoices, purchase orders, and reconciliations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and ability to learn accounting systems such as Sage, QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Procore, or similar platforms. Experience with Sage 100 Contractor preferred.
• Conduct a background check, drug screening, and physical exam.
