Position Summary

  • The Engineering Manager will lead a multidisciplinary engineering team responsible for developing innovative, high-performance aerospace products that solve complex customer challenges. This role combines technical leadership, people development, and business execution to deliver products that meet demanding customer expectations for quality, performance, cost, and delivery.
  • As our Aerospace Business continues to grow, we are seeking a hands-on leader who thrives on solving difficult technical problems, developing high-performing teams, and continuously improving products, processes, and organizational performance. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping technology strategy, accelerating product development, and fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and technical excellence.
  • Strong systems engineering and systems thinking skills across mechanical, electrical, and controls disciplines are essential. Experience with LVDT technology or similar sensing products is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers, designers, and technicians.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Build team capability through coaching, performance management, and employee development planning.

Product Development & Technical Leadership

  • Lead product development efforts from concept through production launch.
  • Provide technical leadership in systems engineering, design reviews, risk management, testing, validation, and problem solving.
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Sales, and customers to define technology roadmaps and develop solutions that meet market needs.
  • Ensure engineering activities support requirements management, analysis, prototyping, design for manufacturability, and successful product commercialization.

Business & Operational Execution

  • Manage engineering priorities, resources, schedules, and project risks across multiple programs.
  • Ensure projects achieve quality, cost, delivery, and performance objectives.
  • Partner closely with Operations, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Finance to support successful product launches and continuous product improvement.
  • Interface directly with customers through technical reviews, project updates, and on-site visits as required.


Continuous Improvement

  • Champion Lean, Six Sigma, and structured problem-solving methodologies.
  • Continuously improve engineering processes, product quality, and speed to market.
  • Drive a culture that challenges the status quo and seeks better ways to serve customers and improve performance.


Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related engineering discipline.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.
  • Experience leading cross-functional engineering efforts in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement principles.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.

Preferred

  • 15+ years of product development experience.
  • 5+ years of engineering leadership experience.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Proven success launching complex electromechanical products into production.
  • Strong systems engineering background.
  • Aerospace, sensing, instrumentation, motion control, or LVDT experience.
