Job description

Position Summary:

The Gananda Central School District is seeking a Summer Program Coordinator to oversee all K8 summer programming, including the Middle School Summer Academy, K4 Summer Academy, Kindercamp, and k-12 various enrichment programs. This role is responsible for ensuring smooth daily operations, supporting staff, and maintaining a safe, engaging learning environment for students.

Dates: ASAP - 08/16/26

Compensation: $8,000

Qualifications:

  • NYS teaching or administrative certification preferred
  • Experience in summer school or program coordination
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and oversee all summer programs across elementary and secondary levels (including enrichment programs serving high school students)
  • Manage grant coordination, compliance, and reporting
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with the transportation department
  • Supervise and support staff, including teachers, teaching assistants, and nursing personnel
  • Develop and maintain daily schedules, staffing plans, and overall program logistics
  • Monitor student attendance and maintain accurate, up-to-date records
  • Ensure programs operate efficiently and align with district expectations
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for staff, students, and families
  • Address daily operational issues and maintain a safe, supportive, and positive program environment
