Job description

Some of what you will do: 

As Program Manager, you will lead the growth of Staples' B2C and B2B payment portfolios, overseeing product and program management, salesforce engagement, marketing execution, reporting, and cross-functional collaboration to support day-to-day operations. 

Specifically, You Will: 

  • Communicate and champion the vision for Staples' consumer and business payment programs 

  • Recommend program and product improvements supported by business cases and customer insights 

  • Partner with internal teams to develop and execute program roadmaps and enhancements 

  • Communicate program goals and performance targets focused on customer acquisition and revenue growth 

  • Act as a subject matter expert for payment programs and initiatives 

  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure programs receive the right focus and visibility 

  • Develop and execute salesforce engagement initiatives, including SPIFFs, contests, and incentives 

  • Create and maintain sales and training materials for internal teams 

  • Monitor and report on program KPIs and performance metrics 

  • Analyze results and provide insights and recommendations to improve performance 

  • Monitor and share competitive trends across the Canadian consumer and business payments market 

Some of what you need: 

  • 4+ years of product or program management 

  • Post secondary education, preferably in business administration or a relevant discipline/field, or equivalent work experience 

  • Project management accreditation an asset 

  • Strong understanding of cards landscape & payments eco-systems 

  • Demonstrated and focused desire to build and grow lines of businesses 

  • Experience launching customer facing products; solid knowledge of waterfall and agile project management methodologies  

  • Ability to think strategically and creatively  

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to build relationships with internal/external groups 

  •  Self-motivated and results focused; able to work independently and proven track record of success  

  • Ability to manage time and schedules to meet aggressive deadlines and influence through persuasive written and verbal communication
