Job Summary:
The Production Manager is a hands-on manager responsible for overseeing all production operations while leading continuous improvement initiatives across the facility. This role directly manages production team leads and frontline operators, ensuring effective day-to-day execution while driving lean transformation, operational excellence, and sustained performance improvements. The position serves as the critical link between shop floor execution and strategic improvement efforts, balancing leadership presence on the floor with data-driven decision making and long-term process optimization.
Responsibilities:
Supervises, directs, and coordinates personnel and production activities while leading continuous improvement efforts across the operation. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Production Leadership & Operations
• Manage daily production activities across manufacturing (casting, machining, paint, trim), and assembly (mechanical, electronic)
• Execute production schedules and assign tasks to team leads and available resources.
• Monitor production output, resolve issues, and ensure targets for safety, quality, delivery, and cost are achieved.
• Maintain strong daily presence on the production floor to support execution and accountability.
• Directly manage and develop team leads and frontline employees.
• Provide coaching, performance management, and leadership development.
• Review and approve timekeeping, attendance, and labor utilization.
• Drive a culture of accountability, teamwork, and engagement.
