Your Role:
Tetra Tech is seeking a Pavement Engineer to join one of our Texas offices to support a growing portfolio of transportation infrastructure projects. This is an integrated role for a developing professional who wants to build experience across both pavement engineering and pavement management, working across the full lifecycle of roadway assets.
The successful candidate will contribute to pavement design, rehabilitation, preservation, forensic investigations, condition assessment, performance analysis, treatment selection, and network-level planning. While the role is based in one of our Texas offices and will support projects across the state, it will also contribute to projects throughout North America, providing exposure to a diverse range of agency standards, climatic conditions, materials, and pavement management practices.

The role combines technical engineering, data analysis, and infrastructure decision-making, reflecting how modern pavement programs are delivered across leading agencies.
This position is primarily office-based within one of our Texas offices, with collaboration across distributed teams. Travel is required periodically to support field investigations, condition assessments, and project coordination activities.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline, with a focus on pavement engineering
  • 3-6 years of relevant experience in pavement engineering, pavement management, transportation infrastructure, or related fields
  • Strong analytical, technical documentation, and communication skills, with a demonstrated commitment to accuracy, quality, and consistency
  • Ability to work with and interpret infrastructure datasets and support defensible engineering decisions
