The Position: Run Marketing Project Manager

This role serves as the operational backbone of the run marketing program, helping ensure seamless execution across major marathon sponsorships, retail activations, athlete and community initiatives, event logistics and cross-functional marketing campaigns. This is a temporary position with an expected duration of six months that could evolve into a long-term role with our company.

The ideal candidate understands the running industry, thrives in fast-paced environments, and can manage multiple stakeholders, timelines, and deliverables simultaneously. This role is equal parts project management, event coordination and brand activation support.

Duties and ResponsibilitiesRun Marketing Program Management
  • Own timelines, workflows, and execution for run-focused marketing initiatives
  • Coordinate cross-functional communication between marketing, sales, product, creative, eCommerce, athletes, agencies and external partners
  • Maintain project calendars, deliverable trackers, activation schedules and budget oversight
  • Ensure all campaigns and activations are executed on time and aligned with brand standards
Marathon Sponsorship Coordination
  • Manage logistics and execution for major marathon and running event sponsorships; including outreach to new potential sponsors
  • Coordinate expo activations, booth staffing, product shipments, signage, athlete appearances and event deliverables
  • Serve as a liaison between race organizations, vendors, agencies and internal teams
  • Help develop and execute event marketing plans before, during and after race weekends
  • Track sponsorship deliverables, reporting and post-event recaps
Retail & Community Activation
  • Coordinate retail activations with run specialty accounts and key sporting goods partners
  • Assist run reps in planning in-store events, demos, grassroots activations and educational initiatives
  • Manage communication and scheduling with run reps, run clubs and regional field marketing support related to events
  • Ensure retail partners receive assets, samples, signage and campaign materials on schedule
Marketing Coordination
  • Support execution of integrated marketing campaigns across social media, PR, email, paid media, content, athlete partnerships and events
  • Coordinate production timelines with creative and content teams
  • Organize asset delivery, approvals and campaign documentation
  • Track marketing performance metrics and compile recap reports
Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 3–7 years of experience in marketing, event marketing, project management, sports marketing or brand activation
  • Strong understanding of the running industry or endurance sports required
  • Experience working with run specialty retail
  • Background in endurance sports marketing or event operations
  • Familiarity with athlete sponsorships and ambassador programs
  • Experience supporting integrated campaigns across digital, retail, and experiential channels
Skills & Aptitudes
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders and deadlines
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills
  • Experience coordinating events, expos, sponsorships, or grassroots marketing programs
  • Comfortable working independently in a fast-moving environment
  • Proficiency with project management tools such as Asana or similar platforms
  • Willingness to travel for races, events and activations
  • Ability to travel during peak race and activation periods
Salary & Benefits:

This is a full-time position based in our Longmont, CO office Monday-Thursday with Fridays remote eligible. This is a temporary position with an expected length of six months. The typical work hours for this job are between 8am-5pm, Monday through Friday. Pay range for this position is $80,000-100,000 annually with up to 10% bonus potential. HydraPak offers up to 120 hours of Paid Time Off in the first year of service, 11 paid holidays, a range of insurance benefits starting the first of the month following a 30-day waiting period, and a 401(k) plan with company match after 90 days.
