The Nolensville Campus and Teaching Pastor is responsible to the church, under the direction of the South Region Lead Pastor for casting vision, planning, implementing and evaluating a comprehensive worship, service, and disciple-making strategy for all aspects of the Nolensville campus that is contextualized for the unique ministry environment of this community.
The Nolensville Campus and Teaching Pastor will be responsible for aligning The Church at Nolensville with the overall mission, vision, objectives and goals of Brentwood Baptist Church. The Campus and Teaching Pastor will oversee the day-to-day operations of the ministry campus, act as liaison to the Brentwood campus both for central support and ministry, and provide preaching, pastoral care, equipping for daily disciple-making, and leadership for all of the congregation of Nolensville.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES may include but are not limited to the following:
  • Establish, communicate and implement vision, objectives, goals, strategies and tactics for the Nolensville Campus contextualizing them for the unique dynamics of the Nolensville community.
  • Preach weekly on Sundays and teach when appropriate and needed on Wednesdays and in other settings.
  • Provide oversight, equipping and supervision of the Nolensville Campus ministry staff and volunteers, clearly communicating and implementing strategic and operational goals, processes and systems. Leadership should combine relational sensitivity with decisiveness, fostering momentum and stability.
  • Determine and develop appropriate oversight of the pastoral care aspects of the Nolensville campus.
  • Develop an intentional and reproducible process for identifying and developing leaders within the congregation, fostering both spiritual maturity and ministry ownership.
  • Coordinate the weekly Nolensville Campus worship gatherings in conjunction with the Brentwood Senior Pastor, worship and preaching teams and Nolensville campus worship minister.
  • Participate in the weekly Preaching Team meeting and collaborate in sermon planning, as well as participate in campus pastor development meetings led by Senior Pastor.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Senior Executive Pastorโ€™s office and/or the Senior Pastor.
  • Work with Executive Pastors to establish Nolensville Campus processes, systems, budgets, staffing models and accountabilities to support the vision, objectives, goals, strategies and tactics.
  • Contextualize church-wide goals to the Nolensville Campus and report regularly with clarity and integrity.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES may include but are not limited to the following:
  • Report to the South Region Lead Campus Pastor at least quarterly on team progress and initiatives.
  • Pray with and for all staff members on a regular basis and hold staff members accountable for personal, spiritual, and professional growth (self-development plan).
  • Effectively communicate and work alongside an administrative assistant, who will help carry-out the day to day administrative responsibilities of the Nolensville campus.
  • Be available to serve the church as a decision counselor, pastoral counselor, and on-call minister (as assigned).
  • Collaborate with the Communications Team to ensure that the Nolensville vision, strategy, and initiatives are communicated to the church at Nolensville targeted demographic on a timely basis through the appropriate distribution channels.
  • Participate in monthly and quarterly All Staff meetings at the Brentwood campus and other related and or requested meetings at any of Brentwood Baptistโ€™s campuses.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
  • Minimum of a Seminary-level Masterโ€™s degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 yearsโ€™ experience is required working in the local church or Christian ministry context.
