Job description

The Integration & Test Engineer is responsible for leading the integration and testing a wide range of training solutions for a 5th generation fixed-wing fighter program across joint Air Force, Navy, and USMC and foreign partner fielding sites. This includes the support for verification and validation of new equipment integration and software functionality into existing training system suites and executing an enterprise test architecture to help ensure low-risk deployments across a controlled set of training systems’ computational and interface equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Execute and brief test plans and procedures in accordance with JFTI & USG guidance and developmental roadmap.
  • Analyze and understand the development environment, architecture, and interdependencies to determine and apply appropriate test methodologies and cases relative to applications being tested.
  • Perform unit, functional, system, integration, and use case testing on various levels of fidelity training systems and common software interfaces.
  • Issue Software Test Release Report for every hardware and software configuration.
  • Work with Blue Force Pilot team to schedule independent V&V of systems, record feedback and help track deficiencies.
  • Use the defect tracking and test case management systems to document test sets, record defects, and record test case execution results.
  • Work with all engineering disciplines to troubleshoot and remediate issues in development, test, and production environments.
  • Provide analysis, planning, and management support for all test and integration areas, including tracking system versions with Configuration Manager.
  • Work with on-site system repository for all system updates, software releases and customer artifacts.
  • Support the coordination of SIL activities, to include coordination of system demonstrations.
  • Work with the Change Control Board (CCB) to prioritize integration and testing activities.
  • Develop, revise, and maintain various integration setup and test results documents.
  • Provide system fielding support at training system deployment sites.
  • Support various other Joint USN/USMC/USAF programs as needed.
