Job Title: Senior Lead Product Delivery Manager (Palantir Foundry Architect)
Role Overview
We are seeking a highly sophisticated, technical Senior Lead Product Delivery Manager to drive the end-to-end architecture, optimization, and operational support of our data-dense Critical Infrastructure & Grid Resiliency portfolio. In this advanced role, you will serve as the principal Palantir Foundry Architect and delivery owner, ensuring that our high-stakes, real-time risk mitigation applications remain resilient, optimized, and scalable.
This position demands an elite combination of full-stack software engineering fundamentals, data pipeline expertise, and hands-on operational leadership. You will manage complex data ontologies, optimize distributed compute environments, author modular code transformations, and lead agile DevOps delivery teams. Operating in a high-visibility framework governed by strict regulatory compliance timelines, you must be comfortable making high-stakes architectural decisions under pressure.
Key Responsibilities
Palantir Foundry Architecture & Data Engineering Governance
• Architectural Oversight: Provide absolute architectural governance for enterprise-scale Palantir Foundry deployments, including complex Ontology design, multi-source data lineage, and Directed Acyclic Graph (DAG) execution patterns.
• Pipeline & ETL Engineering: Author, review, and maintain highly optimized data pipelines and ETL workflows utilizing Foundry Pipeline Builder, Code Repositories, and Data Connection modules.
• Clean Code Infrastructure: Drive high-quality, modular code development and reuse within Foundry environments using Python, TypeScript, and PySpark or Polars. Establish version control standards, branching strategies, and rigorous code review loops.
• System Integration: Oversee the configuration, deployment, and integration of supporting Application System components, including SaaS/PaaS layers, logical database tiers, data marts, data warehouses, and middleware.
Product Delivery, UI Design & Portfolio Optimization
• Interactive Tooling: Develop, enhance, and sustain advanced analytical assets, automated workflows, and front-end user displays using Foundry Workshop, Quiver, and native automation engines to maintain seamless end-to-end business functionality.
• Resource Optimization: Leverage Foundry's Resource Management applications to actively monitor and analyze compute consumption, pipeline execution costs, storage utilization, and workload efficiencies; deliver precise cost calculations and architectural adjustments.
• Portfolio Rationalization: Drive continuous Application System portfolio optimization to eliminate technical debt, ensure software maintainability, and guarantee downstream data reliability.
Operational Support, Infrastructure & Compliance
• System Dependability: Support the underlying compute agents, hosting infrastructure, and operational services required to keep the data platform running reliably under strict regulatory guidelines.
• Incidents & Root Cause Analysis: Diagnose complex pipeline failures and real-time data flow blocks; perform deep root-cause analysis and execute immediate post-incident system hardening.
• Vendor & Stakeholder Alignment: Manage technical interfaces and operational coordination models (RACIs, OLAs) with internal technology business units and third-party cloud/infrastructure service providers.
• On-Call Leadership: Participate in a strategic tier-3 technical on-call rotation schedule to handle occasional off-hours infrastructure interventions in production environments.
Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Technology, or an equivalent combination of technical training and verified experience.
• Experience Baseline: 7 to 10 years of professional software engineering and data platform delivery experience.
• Technical Depth:
oDemonstrated hands-on expertise with Palantir Foundry across code repositories, ontology modeling, and application building.
oHighly proficient in Python (including big-data frameworks like PySpark or Polars) and TypeScript.
oDeep, structural understanding of distributed data pipeline architectures, data lineage, and downstream impact tracking.
• Operational Capabilities: Proven ability to own technical outcomes end-to-end without close supervision; history of working through ambiguous, high-stakes problems in live production environments.
Preferred Attributes
• Direct experience managing IT portfolios, software infrastructure, or data processing applications within the utility, energy, smart-grid, or highly regulated public safety sectors.
• Advanced expertise in enterprise-grade front-end UI design via Palantir Foundry Workshop.
• Demonstrated history of applying Agile/DevOps service delivery methods smoothly across the full life cycle (Plan, Deliver, Run).
