We are looking for a detail-oriented Order Management Specialist to support post-sales operations for a Contract position based in Herndon, Virginia. This fully remote opportunity is a 3-month engagement focused on reviewing purchase documentation, validating order accuracy, and coordinating the flow of approved orders through fulfillment. The ideal candidate brings prior experience in order processing, compliance checks, and cross-functional support within a fast-paced business environment.
Responsibilities:
• Examine purchase orders and related documents to confirm completeness, accuracy, and alignment with approved quotes before processing.
• Convert validated sales information into accurate system orders while maintaining strong attention to detail and established service standards.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to secure required approvals and ensure orders meet contractual and policy requirements.
• Coordinate the transfer of completed orders to fulfillment teams so downstream processing can begin without delay.
• Track order progress through completion and confirm supporting documentation, including proof of delivery, is properly recorded.
• Resolve discrepancies between customer purchase requests, quotes, and internal records by working with sales and operational teams.
• Support post-sales activities related to contract closeout, requisition validation, and order compliance documentation.• Prior experience in order management, billing support, post-sales operations, or a similar administrative function.
• Working knowledge of purchase order review, order entry, and approval workflows in a business operations environment.
• Ability to compare quotes, requisitions, and customer documentation to ensure accurate order setup.
• Experience using Salesforce or comparable systems to manage order details and support process tracking.
