Plan, organize, direct, execute and control aspects of research projects in ophthalmic diseases that are conducted by UREAD, with a focus on handling and processing retinal imaging data. Interact with clinical study sites and sponsors as part of multicenter clinical studies. Work in close collaboration with the UREAD Senior Research Manager and the UREAD Director to ensure that sponsor's goals and expectations are met.

Responsibilities
Essential Functions:
- Project management of reading center activities in multicenter clinical trials
- Serve as liaison between UREAD and study sites, CROs and sponsors
- Perform quality review and technical evaluation of ophthalmic imaging data that is transmitted by clinical sites, provide feedback to clinical sites and release for internal image analysis
- Respond to queries regarding image acquistion, image handling and other data queries as appropriate
- Perform study startup and perform site certification activities regarding imaging
- Document and manuals management
- Attend conference calls with study sponsors
- Perform data entry, filing, and other clerical duties
- Assist UREAD staff members as necessary to meet the needs of the various studies, including the Senior Research Manager

Minimum Qualifications
EQUIVALENCY STATEMENT: 1 year of higher education can be substituted for 1 year of directly related work experience (Example: bachelor's degree = 4 years of directly related work experience).
Manager, Research Management: Requires a bachelor's (or equivalency) + 6 years or a master's (or equivalency) + 4 years of directly related work experience.
Preferences
Preferences include experience with human subjects research with a possible focus on imaging technologies, excellent communication skills, oral and written, ability to prioritize tasks and attention to detail. Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to learn new software programs and processes quickly.
Bachelor degree or higher, with at least 2 years of work experience in clinical research or in the medical field.
