Entry Level Operations Assistant - Elk Grove Village, IL
$22 - $26/Hour + Plus Full Benefits
Start Your Career in Logistics & Operations
If you’re looking to get into logistics, supply chain, transportation, or operations, this is an opportunity to learn the business from the inside.
We’re hiring an Operations Assistant to support the team with order processing, shipment coordination, data entry, scheduling, and day-to-day logistics activity. You’ll work with different departments and external partners to make sure information is accurate and shipments stay on track.
This is a hands-on role for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, dependable, and wants to learn how a logistics operation actually works.
What You’ll Do

  • Enter and maintain orders, shipment information, and customer data in internal systems
  • Monitor shipments and update tracking information
  • Coordinate with carriers, warehouses, vendors, and internal departments
  • Assist with pickup and delivery scheduling
  • Prepare, review, and organize shipping and logistics documentation
  • Research and correct discrepancies in orders or shipment information
  • Maintain Excel spreadsheets, reports, and tracking logs
  • Follow up on delayed shipments, missing information, and other operational issues
  • Help keep daily logistics activities organized and moving forward
  • Support the Operations team with additional projects as you gain experience


What We’re Looking For

  • Associate’s Degree required
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Experience in Microsoft Suite (specifically Excel)
  • Interest in building a career in logistics, supply chain, transportation, or operations
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Comfortable working with numbers, data, spreadsheets, and computer systems
  • Able to prioritize work and stay organized when handling multiple tasks
  • Good communication and follow-up skills
  • Previous experience is preferred but not required
