Compensation: $80,000 - $110,000 annually, depending on education, skills, and experience

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced General Manager to lead our Amazon Gateway operation in Lihue, Hawaii. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic leader who thrives in a fast-paced logistics environment and is passionate about developing teams, optimizing operations, and delivering exceptional service.


Position Summary

The General Manager oversees all aspects of the Amazon Gateway operation on the island of Kauai, including:

  • Ground Support Handling of Boeing 767 cargo aircraft
  • Aircraft loading and unloading operations
  • Package sortation and distribution
  • Linehaul trucking operations
  • Coordination with United States Postal Service (USPS) Direct Delivery Units (DDUs)

This position is responsible for ensuring operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, employee performance, customer satisfaction, safety, and achievement of client performance metrics. The General Manager must be capable of stepping into other leadership roles as business needs require.

Operations primarily occur during late evening and early morning hours. Flexibility is required to support a 7-day-per-week operation, including occasional weekends.


Qualifications, Skills & Experience

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • 3+ years of leadership experience in logistics, transportation, warehouse operations, aviation, supply chain, or operations management
  • Strong background in operations management, logistics, transportation management, warehouse operations, or aviation ground handling
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, develop, and motivate high-performing teams
  • Experience with employee relations, workforce planning, performance management, and staffing coordination
  • Knowledge of package sortation, trucking operations, cargo handling, and distribution processes
  • Strong understanding of TSA, DOT, regulatory compliance, workplace safety, and security procedures
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and relationship management skills
  • Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience with reporting, analytics, payroll, timekeeping systems, and operational metrics
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
  • Experience handling confidential and sensitive information
  • Commercial driving and package sortation experience is highly desirable
  • Must successfully pass all required drug screenings and background checks, including employer, customer, and/or SIDA requirements
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States

Compensation & BenefitsPay Range

$80,000 - $110,000 per year DOE (Depending on Experience)

In compliance with Hawaii pay transparency requirements, the posted compensation range represents the anticipated salary for this position. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, skills, and internal equity considerations.

  • Coordinate daily operations and ensure successful execution of all shift activities.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to frequently walk, stand, bend, and move throughout the workday.
  • Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Team lifting procedures required for items exceeding 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in warehouse, ramp, and outdoor operational environments.
