Job description

Job Summary

Medpace is seeking a VP, Software Development to lead our global Software Development department. As a key member of the leadership team, this role is tasked with driving the modernization of Medpace applications and will manage the design and delivery of the organization's software products.

Responsibilities
  • Recognize business needs and identify software solutions that enable both internal and external customers to manage their processes more effectively and efficiently;
  • Ensure the timely delivery and development of propriety applications utilized in clinical trials, lab operations, and other business functions;
  • Hire and lead teams of engineers to build/rebuild comprehensive and competitive clinical trialmanagement software and modernize systems with Microsoft technologies;
  • Oversee the training, evaluation and retention of Software Development staff; and
  • Analyze new and existing technologies to evolve and improve current software applications and technology.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related area;
  • 10+ years of software development leadership experience;
  • Proven experience managing projects and teams and delivering software solutions on time and under budget;
  • Technical development experience within the Microsoft tech stack, including experience in web-based technologies such as Angular;
  • Excellent analytical, written and oral communication skills;
  • Experiencing leading global teams preferred; and
  • Experience in a clinical or regulated environment preferred.
