Founded in 1972, T Bar M Racquet Club has served as the premier private members tennis and racquet Club for Texas and the greater southwest region. It is internationally recognized as a best-in-class training facility for competitive, professional, semi-professional and social tennis for adults and children, while also offering a range of health and wellness amenities, including a gym, chiropractic and sports medicine services and group fitness classes.
In June 2022, Dallas-based WoodHouse acquired T Bar M and is renovating and enhancing the property, creating a world-class racquet Club. The evolved Club will house the classic tennis club and facilities in a fresh new environment. The Club's brand and amenities will continue to cater to individuals and families in search of a social and communal anchor that is grounded in an active, health and wellness-focused mindset.
The new Banner House at T Bar M will include 21 tennis courts (8 indoor courts, 3 Euro red clay courts and 14 outdoor courts), 2 padel courts, 8 pickleball courts, retail/pro shop, a resort style pool, taqueria, private events, lounges, restaurant and bar. In addition to these amenities there is a 12,000 SF Fitness Center with best-in-class training equipment and state of the art locker rooms, including a cold plunge, dry sauna and hot tub. Paired with the new Club house and Fitness offerings is a full service Wellness, Spa and Chiropractic offering with 6 treatment rooms for massage/facials, IV's, injectables and 3 chiropractic rooms for adjustments, soft tissue therapy, needling, and more.
About The Role
Banner House's Director of Programming will oversee all aspects of programming events for The Club producing a robust calendar that engages members and guests. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating unique experiences that are interesting, memorable, thought-provoking and fun. The Director of Programming will report directly to the Managing Director, and they will work closely with the Membership Director to ensure all programming ultimately works toward building a rich sense of community among members.
What You'll Do
  • Oversee the monthly ideation, development, programming, and execution of innovative events for The Club.
  • Lead member events and Club programming to connect the membership community through hyper-local story telling achieved by creating diverse and innovative experiences that result in positive feedback
  • Conceive unconventional and memorable member events that push the boundaries of traditional programming in a way that continues to surprise and delight members. (We want you to dream big: consider booking high-profile talent for a unique event; build an artist residency; create an off-site excursion.)
  • Work in partnership with WoodHouse Director of Partnerships to incorporate local/national brands and partners to execute interesting, integrated programming that is on-brand for the project overall.
  • Work with Membership Director to ensure programming supports overall membership retention goals.
  • Identify off-site programming opportunities that enhance overall member experience (special focus on outdoor/boat/beach/wellness)
  • Inspire members, talent and all Moore teams when meeting to create and implement events across building programming (Club, Workplace, public-facing Restaurant)
  • Work across all cross functional teams: operations, design, content, creative, digital, events, partnerships to deliver on all strategic objectives.
  • Create systems to track the booking and forward planning of events so that deadlines and budgets are always met and work closely with the General Managers to ensure events deliver on business goals
  • Oversee team management including but not limited to recruitment, on-boarding, training, payroll and disciplinary procedures.
  • Oversee staff performance, conducting appraisals and strategizing with leadership to assess performance and development while maintaining professional relationships
  • Build strategic program to drive attendance during down-times (late night/ afternoon/early morning)
  • Attend Heads of Departments meetings on a regular basis
  • Have regular presence on the floor and work alongside Membership Managers to answer any and all member needs or inquiries
  • May require working beyond normal office hours, including nights and weekends, depending on business needs
  • Required to spend time each day on the floor and to be present for members and support team members
  • Lead from the ground up by being present at occasional evening events, embracing a "roll-up-sleeves" attitude and doing what it takes to get the job done on budget and on time.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 7+ years' experience working in event planning and production
  • Diverse experience in curating and executing both large and small-scale events
  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a high-volume and demanding fast-paced environment
  • Dallas-based network of vendors and partners that can support and enrich programming and events
