This opportunity is for a Program Operations Manager (POM) role within Multi-Function RF Systems (MFRFS) Product Line in the Land and Aird Defense Systems (LADS) Business Unit supporting Advanced Development, Combat Solutions, and Warfighter Support. This position requires a highly skilled and competent program operations leader with advanced program start up and leadership skills to fully engage all functional organizations.

This individual is responsible for operations execution of early development program phases of MFRFS/KuRFS products and programs. This position partners closely with Program Management, Customers, and other supporting functions to shape, develop and execute the strategies of the product line to achieve the cost, quality, and schedule goals.  This position is accountable for defining operations strategy, driving successful transition to production, providing operations proposal support, and developing and approving EACs.  In this role, you will have exposure to LADS broad manufacturing footprint, operations strategy, and engineering technology developments, which provides opportunities to create solutions on critical business needs.

What You Will Do:

  • Responsible for the collaboration and planning among the program teams, which include the factory operations performers to ensure cost, schedule, and performance.  
  • Provide management and coordination in support of the proposal activities associated with production, sustainment, and development.  
  • Coordination of material procurement and supplier management to include make/buy/where decisions, operations strategy, assembly, testing, trouble shooting, root cause investigations, proposal support, EAC development and ensuring appropriate staffing.
  • Accountable for program/business area On-Time Delivery performance.
  • Travel to other Raytheon locations as needed (up to 5%)

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 3 years’ experience
  • Experience in Manufacturing, Operations, Engineering, Quality, Program and/or project management.
  • Experience with an MRP system and production planning tools.
  • Experience working in an undefined development environment where processes and procedures may not always exist.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Excellent oral and written communications skills, team building, change management and team leadership experience and able to work with minimum direct supervision Knowledge of transition to manufacturing planning/scheduling concepts.
  • Direct related experience in operations, project engineering or project management on development and production programs with prior leadership skills in a team-based manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills, including experience presenting to leadership & negotiation skills.
  • Ability to effectively persuade and influence through positive communications with stakeholders, team members, customers, and program management.
  • Broad knowledge of business systems, engineering, manufacturing, and financial systems.
  • Problem solving experience, Leadership experience, and ability to interface across all functions.

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
