RSC2 is currently looking for a Theater Operations Lead to join our growing team.


Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for theater operations, providing expert guidance and oversight to ensure successful execution of PD Aerostats program operations in a designated overseas region.
  • Lead and manage a team of operations personnel, including training, mentoring, and evaluating team members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their jobs effectively.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local military, government, and contractors to ensure seamless integration and coordination of program operations.
  • Conduct operational planning and coordination with local stakeholders, including development of operational plans, concept of operations (CONOPS), and other relevant documents.
  • Oversee the execution of program operations, including aerostat launches, recoveries, and maintenance, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and procedures.
  • Provide expert analysis and recommendations on operational issues, including identifying and mitigating risks, and developing solutions to overcome operational challenges.
  • Collaborate with other program teams, including engineering, logistics, and testing, to ensure that operational requirements are met and that program objectives are achieved.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of local regulations, laws, and cultural norms, ensuring that program operations are conducted in compliance with these requirements.
  • Manage and oversee the maintenance of program equipment and facilities, including ensuring that all equipment is properly maintained, calibrated, and certified for use.
  • Develop and deliver briefings, reports, and other presentations to senior leadership and other stakeholders on theater operations, including providing expert testimony and advice on operational matters.
  • Serve as a liaison between the program office and local stakeholders, including providing updates on program status, addressing concerns, and resolving issues in a timely and effective manner.
Requirements:
  • Ten (10) or more years in experience in managing a military or civilian operations setting.
  • BA/BS or higher.
  • Shall have a top secret (TS) clearance with the ability to obtain sensitive compartmented information (SCI).
  • An additional 8 years experience in a related field may be substituted for education. A Masters degree or higher may be substituted for 4 years of experience as long as their degree is in a related field.

Salary at RSC2 is determined by various factors including but not limited to location, the particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $80,000 – $185,000 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical total compensation range for this position.
