Basic Functions:

The Loan Operations Specialist ensures the timely and accurate processing of consumer and residential loan applications, including preparing compliant disclosures and collecting all required documentation. This role is responsible for gathering and verifying information necessary to move loan files efficiently from application through underwriting submission. The Loan Operations Specialist prepares complete and accurate loan packages for underwriting while ensuring all supporting documentation meets regulatory and Bank requirements.

The Loan Operations Specialist will perform a variety of loan servicing and operational tasks in a friendly, efficient, and accurate manner. This position supports customers by answering questions, providing solutions, and communicating effectively with customers, servicing companies, settlement agents, and bank staff both in person and over the phone. All duties are performed in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and Bank policies and procedures.

Essential Duties:

  • Process consumer and residential loan applications
  • Prepare loan files for underwriting review
  • Prepare compliant and timely loan disclosures
  • Order and request required file documentation
  • Follow up to ensure all preliminary documentation is received and complete
  • Prepare loan packages for submission to underwriting
  • Coordinate with originators and/or applicants to clear underwriting conditions
  • Complete loan servicing and operational tasks, including documentation review, system updates, and file maintenance
  • Handle customer inquiries and concerns in a professional and timely manner
  • Provide back-up for other operational positions as directed by management
  • Perform additional loan operations duties and activities as assigned by management
