Kona Ice of Western Wake
We are looking for motivated and charismatic drivers to join our local Krew. We're looking to fill full- and part-time positions. Drivers must be at least 18 years old, have a valid Driver's License, and a clean driving record for the past two years. This is a fast-paced and fun job in a growing company where each day will never be like the last. We participate in a wide variety of local activities, such as school events, sports, games, tournaments, large festivals, concerts, corporate events, neighborhood get-togethers, weddings, birthdays, and other unique events.
Kona Ice drivers need to have flexible schedules (including weekend availability) with a focused priority on meeting the needs of our customers. If you consistently ask for more hours, step up to fill in for others when needed, and want to make a lot of money then working here is a perfect fit. Working with children is non-negotiable.
Summary of Position - Event Specialist - Driver
The Kona Ice Event Specialist - Driver oversees and manages the success of events. You will drive and operate a Kona Ice unit (Kona Truck or Kona Mini) and provide a unique experience, spread fun, and create smiles while giving back to our local community. As a Kona Ice Event Specialist - Driver, you will be responsible for maintaining high levels of brand standards, operate all Kona Ice units, and contribute to the success of Kona Ice of Western Wake.
Kona Ice Driver Required Qualifications:
  • 18+ years of age
  • Valid Driver's License, Minimum of 2 years driving experience, and clean driving record
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and time management skills
  • Open availability (includes nights and weekends)
  • Able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 25lbs and ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours)
  • Strong self-initiative and problem solving

Kona Ice Event Specialist - Driver Responsibilities
  • Deliver a unique experience with excellent customer service
  • Operate Kona Ice equipment
  • Maintain trucks and equipment to Kona Ice brand standards
  • Maintain a clean driving record and adhere to company Distracted Driving Policy
  • Comply with the hygiene, health, and sanitation guidelines
  • Know event procedures, warehouse expectations, and product delivery
  • Transport Kona Ice units from warehouse to event on time with all inventory necessary for events (Ice, Cups, Spoons, Flavor, Napkins, etc)
  • Responsible for Kona Ice unit preparation, event setup/take down, closing procedures (including inventory and cash count)
  • Take orders, process payment, and ensure transactions are complete and to customer satisfaction
  • Maintain a safe, secure, and pleasant work environment and work well with other team members
  • Must be able to read, count, and accurately complete documentation
  • Communicate maintenance & inventory needs to appropriate staff
  • Other duties as assigned
