Job description

We are recruiting for a dynamic and relationship-driven Director of Development to lead and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy in the Phoenix community for our non-profit client. This individual will play a critical role in advancing the organization’s mission by cultivating meaningful partnerships and securing financial support from individuals, corporations, and foundations.


The ideal candidate brings a proven track record in nonprofit fundraising, deep experience working with high-net-worth individuals and wealth managers, and a strong presence within the local community.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a strategic, multi-channel fundraising plan to meet and exceed annual revenue goals
  • Cultivate, solicit, and steward relationships with individual donors, including high-net-worth individuals and major gift prospects
  • Build and manage partnerships with wealth managers, financial advisors, and philanthropic networks
  • Lead efforts in securing corporate sponsorships and strategic partnerships
  • Plan and execute fundraising campaigns, including annual giving and capital campaigns
  • Identify, solicit, and close major gifts and multi-year commitments
  • Maintain and grow a strong pipeline of prospects through proactive outreach and community engagement
  • Represent the organization at community events, networking functions, and donor meetings
  • Utilize Salesforce and other giving platforms to track donor activity, manage pipelines, and analyze performance
  • Partner closely with executive leadership and board members to support fundraising initiatives and donor engagement
  • Provide regular reporting on fundraising progress, metrics, and projections


Qualifications


Required:

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in nonprofit development/fundraising
  • Demonstrated success in securing major gifts and building long-term donor relationships
  • Experience working with wealth managers, individual donors, and corporate sponsors
  • Proven ability to lead and execute successful fundraising campaigns
  • Strong track record of relationship-building within the Phoenix community
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce and donor management/giving platforms


Preferred:

  • Experience with endowment fundraising is a PLUS
  • Event management and planning
  • Background in capital campaigns or large-scale fundraising initiatives is a PLUS
