POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Operator to join our Special Operations team in our trade territory (Aberdeen, Bristol, Bowdle, Oakes, Redfield, Highmore, Huron, Kennebec, or Mitchell areas. Special Operations serves to supplement staffing at locations during peak workload times. This position will be responsible for assisting with grain and agronomy operations at multiple locations throughout the Agtegra system where needed.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform critical operations to keep the facility running: loading/Unloading trucks and railcars, other grain handling including, filling/reclaiming of ground piles, transferring, blending etc.
  • Provides a high level of customer service by displaying courteous, helpful, and knowledgeable interactions with our patrons.
  • Maintains the housekeeping of the facility including: elevators, grounds, buildings, etc.
  • Monitors equipment to ensure it’s in good working order, participate in the overall maintenance of the facility and equipment- notify management of any necessary repairs or possible equipment concerns.
  • Be an engaged member of a team and be a self-starter.
  • Adheres to all safety regulations, requirements, policies and procedures, including OSHA regulations, the vehicle policy and fleet safety program and DOT regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Diploma/GED or minimum 1 years of agriculture, operations, heavy equipment or construction experience; or combination of education and experience
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • English Proficiency.
  • Must have valid driver's license.
  • Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including a respirator.
  • Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)
  • Ability to work in confined spaces.
  • Ability to work overtime including weekends, holidays, or different shifts.
  • Must be willing to travel and spend the night away.
