Job description

Facilities Operations Manager Salary: $90,000–$95,000 annually

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee our dozen plus portfolio of properties across the state to oversee property operations, facilities, administrative functions, and capital improvement projects across a portfolio of properties. This position will supervise an Assistant Manager and Custodian(s) while coordinating with vendors, contractors, residents, landlords, and public officials.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily property operations, maintenance, inspections, compliance, and operational needs.
  • Ensure properties meet local, state, and federal requirements and organizational standards.
  • Manage vendor relationships, contracts, service agreements, and contractor performance.
  • Plan and coordinate capital improvement and facility projects, including scopes, budgets, schedules, and completion.
  • Assist with grant-funded projects and track project milestones and budgets.
  • Work with landlords and real estate professionals on new facilities and property transitions.
  • Oversee office operations, procurement, inventory, and administrative processes.
  • Maintain accurate property, project, maintenance, vendor, and compliance records.
  • Prepare operational reports, performance metrics, and project updates for management.
  • Supervise, train, coach, and evaluate assigned staff.
  • Monitor property conditions and respond to operational issues and corrective actions.
  • Communicate regularly with residents, staff, vendors, contractors, and government officials.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, processes, and cost control.
  • Travel between properties and project locations as needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Property Management, Facilities Management, Business Administration, Project Management, Public Administration, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in property management, facilities management, office administration, or project management.
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience.
  • Strong knowledge of property/facilities operations, project management, budgeting, procurement, and vendor management.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, communication, and report-writing skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office 365, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between properties.

Schedule: Primarily Monday–Friday, approximately 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with some flexibility. Occasional evening meetings may be required. Travel will vary based on projects and operational needs.

Preferred Certifications: CPM, FMP, PMP, CMCA, or other relevant property/facilities management certifications.
