PORT MADISON ENTERPRISESSUQUAMISH CLEARWATER CASINO RESORTCSO Technician

General Position Summary:

Provides technical support to the Tribal Lottery System (TLS), its sub-systems, and all modules utilized by Cage Slots Operations (CSO). Troubleshoots erroneous hardware and software, repairs and replaces parts and optimize TLS system to achieve 100% working conditions. Assists with floor operations and provides spectacular service to all guests.

Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:

  • Adheres to department policies and procedures, MICS, State Compact, Appendix X & X2, Tribal Internal Controls Standard and Title 31
  • Performs duties in a spectacular service manner during guest interactions on the gaming floor and ensures that the game(s) are functioning at an optimal level for patron play
  • Assists in the maintenance of TLS and its components, including player terminals, POS terminals, TCP/IP networks, kiosks and any other CSO equipment or applications.
  • Ensures accuracy of game settings, configurations, certifications, and generated reports
  • Applies strict administrative and organization controls to ensure continuous error free data
  • Assists in analysis to determine whether equipment should be repaired or replaced
  • Assists Senior Technician with additional equipment installed or newly developed equipment/technology acquired
  • Performs diagnostic troubleshooting and re-tests all electronic equipment maintained by CSO as assigned
  • Conducts preventive maintenance on all electronic equipment maintained by CSO as assigned

Secondary Functions:

  • Assists in monitoring of equipment and reports any anomalies to the CSO Technician Supervisor or Shift Manager
  • Provides support within CSO as necessary
  • Ensures cleanliness and organization of all work areas
  • Organize and maintain the inventory control per prescribed procedures.
  • Assists in preparation of recommendations for acquisition of newly developed, additional, replacement equipment
  • All other duties as assigned

Specific Job Skills:

  • Thorough understanding of MICS, TICS, State Compact, Department Internal Controls/Policies & Procedures, Appendix X & X2, and Port Madison Enterprises employee handbook
  • Possesses the ability to multi-task and detail oriented
  • Ability to understand basic technical schematics of electronics
  • Demonstrates public relation skills, as necessary when performing duties on the gaming floor in the presence of guests
  • Ability to communicate in a highly effective manner both in writing and verbally
  • Ability to work with employees
  • Ability to problem solve and provide technical solutions to majority of all technical issues found on the gaming floor
  • Entry level to intermediate level of knowledge of computer operations and proficient in MS Office Applications
  • Ability to work well with guests
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Ability to lead the project team during 3 months rotation
  • Ability to follow directions but also self-motivated to ensure technical support is upheld on all levels
  • Ability to provide entry level to intermediate level solutions on all technical aspects to the CSO Tech Supervisor or Shift Manager

Education and/or Experience:

High School Diploma or GED required. Associates of Arts and Science Degree or equivalent from a two-year college of technical school desired. One to two years related experience and/or training/certificate; or equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable. Must be computer literate and possess knowledge of computer science and computer engineering, preferred. Must possess good interpersonal skills. Windows networking skills are essential.

Job Conditions:

Working conditions include working in a small confined space with other personnel for extended periods of time. Employees will work in a smoke-filled environment. Other conditions will also include frequent interruptions, evenings, weekends, holidays and on-call. Scheduled shift may rotate every three (3) months.

Physical Requirements:

Manual and finger dexterity needed for operation of personal computers, and routine paperwork. Ability to lift 50 lbs. Must be able to stand and/or sit for extended periods of time
