Voyage Financial Advisors is an independent financial services practice of Thrivent in Wisconsin and Michigan. We are growing and adding a Director of Planning Operations to our team, which serves clients mainly in Wisconsin, Michigan, and Minnesota with a focus on complete financial planning. This is a full-time role that requires to be in the office at least 3 days per week preferred.

Job Description

As the Director of Planning Operations,you'llbe a resource forour financial advisors andprovide support to the clients ofVoyage Financial Advisors,including:

  • Actively prepare financial analysis and develop financial plans, serving as a hands-on planner day to day, in a fast-paced high-producing environment.

  • Integrate Microsoft Co-Pilot and other AI tools into process and operations.

  • Lead, coach, and develop members of the financial planning team.

  • Oversee preparation, review, and delivery of comprehensive financial plans and ensure accuracy and process efficiency.

  • Assistnot only in the creation of financial plans but helpassistthe advisory team by creating straightforward implementation steps for the advisors to help drive revenue growth through implementation.

  • Partner with advisors to support client planning strategy, meetingpreparationand preparing advisor meeting guides.

  • Control and form processes for, RMDs, internal payment of policies, deathclaimsand opportunities.

  • Ensure accuracy and consistency of client data within planning and CRM systems.

  • Improve and scale planning and meeting prep workflows, tasking, and opportunities to enhance efficiency and service quality.

  • Ability todirectlyprepare meetings for 20-40 appointments per week.

  • Serve as a senior planning resource on complex client cases.

  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive client and firm information.

  • Ensure adherence to Thrivent policies, compliance standards, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Securities (Series 7 and 66orSeries7, 63 and 65) and resident state Life,Healthand Annuities registration

  • Satisfactory background check, fingerprinting and securities registration and/or insurance licensing verification, if applicable.

  • Bachelor's degree in Financial Planning, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field preferred.

  • Project and Process management experience.

  • 3-5+ years of experience in financial planning or related financial services roles.

  • CFP designation preferred or ability to obtain within 2 years of start date.

  • Exceptionalpeople,leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities whilemaintainingattention to detail.

  • Proficiencywith financial planning tools, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office.

External/Internal Dependencies
