The Opportunity

The Global Manager of Construction Execution is responsible for leading the execution of construction activities across all projects worldwide, ensuring safety, quality, and profitability. This role reports to the President of BV Operations and provides direct leadership to Managers of Construction supporting various sectors and regions. The position requires a strategic, hands-on leader who can drive operational excellence, foster a culture of safety and inclusion, and deliver superior project outcomes through effective team leadership and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

   Lead and mentor Managers of Construction across multiple sectors and geographies, ensuring alignment with global construction strategy and organizational goals.
   Translate the Enterprise strategy into actionable execution plans, driving operational excellence and continuous improvement.
   Develop and implement standardized processes, best practices, and performance metrics for construction execution globally.
   Foster a culture of safety, quality, and ethical conduct, ensuring compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements.
   Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion within construction teams.
   Oversee the execution of all construction projects, ensuring on-time, on-budget, and high-quality delivery.
   Monitor project performance, proactively address issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.
   Ensure all construction operations comply with company safety manuals, health programs, and quality standards.
   Provide oversight and support during project execution, including site visits and direct engagement with project teams.
   Develop and manage staffing plans, succession planning, and talent development for the construction execution organization.
   Attract, develop, and retain high-performing teams, building robust succession pipelines in collaboration with the Global Manager of Construction Operations.
   Develop and manage budgets for construction execution, ensuring financial targets are met.
   Drive margin improvement, resource optimization, and cost control across all projects.
   Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, partners, and regulatory agencies.
   Serve as a trusted advisor to project teams and senior leadership, providing expert guidance on construction execution matters.

Preferred Qualifications

   Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field (or equivalent relevant experience)
   15+ years of progressive construction and/or EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) experience, including significant leadership responsibility
   Demonstrated experience managing large, complex construction projects and teams 
   Proven track record of driving safety, quality, and financial performance in construction 
   Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required
   Successful completion of pre-employment onboarding requirements (background check, drug screen, etc.)

Minimum Qualifications

   Advanced degree in construction management, engineering, or business
   Global EPC experience, including work in diverse sectors (power, renewables, water, oil & gas, telecom, etc.)
   Experience with self-perform and subcontracted construction delivery models
   Demonstrated success in talent management, succession planning, and organizational development
   Experience with business development, client interface, and proposal management
   Relevant certifications (OSHA, Risk Management, Project Management)
   Experience with union and non-union environments
   Knowledge of national and international construction agreements and regulatory requirements
