Manager of Applications

The Manager of Applications is a member of the leadership team in the Information Systems department and is crucial in driving the success of the team and the organization. This position requires a blend of strategic and technical leadership to ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions and services.

What You'll Do

  • Strategic and Technical Leadership:
    • Provide strategic and technical leadership to drive the team's success and align with organizational goals.
    • Ensure all work accomplished has proper documentation considering potential regulatory, legal, or business concerns.
  • Collaboration with Product Owner:
    • Foster effective communication and collaboration with the Product Owner to shape future technology solutions.
    • Along with the Product Owner, lead communication of project results/challenges to business partners in ways they can understand. Proactive communication of delays to planned efforts.
  • Support Activities:
    • Ensure high uptime and promptly address enterprise-impacting issues to maintain seamless operations ensuring the applications have >099.9% uptime.
  • People Management:
    • Build an ideal team through cross-training, re-skilling, and coaching to enhance team performance and growth.
    • Conduct one-on-one meetings with your employees, enforce company policies, manage time and attendance, do performance reviews, determine pay increases, hire as needed and conduct terminations if necessary.
  • Contract Negotiations:
    • Manage new contract negotiations and renewals to secure favorable terms and conditions for the organization.

What You'll Need

  • Experience:
    • Possess 3-5 years of experience in building and managing high-performing development teams on a variety of platforms from Mainframe to Cloud.
    • Demonstrated ability to understand the big picture and drive the initiatives the lead to completion of the overall big picture.
    • Experienced in leading Agile teams and able to provide technical and process recommendations aimed at improving quality, velocity, and customer delight.
  • Innovative Mindset:
    • Possess an innovative mindset and demonstrate creativity in problem-solving and solution development.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration:
    • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional groups to achieve common goals.
  • Communication Skills:
    • Exhibit clear and effective communication skills, especially when interacting with C-level executives.

The starting pay range for this position is:

$145,900.00 - $194,600.00
