PREMIUM SALES AND HOSPITALITY MANAGER: NEW YORK RACING ASSOCATION (NYRA/NEW BELMONT PARK)

Playfly Sports is looking for a Premium Sales and Hospitality Manager (NYRA/New Belmont Park) to join our team in New York.

This role will have a focus performing revenue generating activities with a focus on premium hospitality areas at the new Belmont Park.

The primary purpose of this role will be selling premium offerings for all New Belmont Park events through a relationship-based approach that prioritizes the needs of the prospect and providing first-class service to existing clients.

This position will be responsible for supporting the NYRA Premium Sales & Hospitality team to generate significant revenue through the sale and allocation of premium hospitality and seating inventory for New Belmont Park. This could be including but not limited to Box Seating, Club Spaces, Suites, and other premium hospitality areas. The Manager will help plan and organize access to and use of all NYRA hospitality inventory in accordance with established NYRA guidelines, policies, and procedures to ensure the highest levels of guest satisfaction and generate new revenue by upselling existing box seat and premium seating clients through network of contacts and new leads.

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH

Manage team of three (3) Premium Account Executives with focus on new business development for Belmont Park premium hospitality, including suites, club spaces and box seating.

Assist Director, Premium Sales and Hospitality (NYRA) with developing the sales strategy for premium seating and hospitality inventory for current and future club/premium areas

Monitor and manage premium sales inventory, develop sales timelines, provide pricing recommendations and communicate sales forecasts for premium hospitality and seating packages

Organize access to and use of all NYRA hospitality inventory in accordance with established NYRA guidelines, policies, and procedures with a particular focus on the value of Horsemen and VIP Horseplayers to NYRA's overall business.

Employ solution-based selling to maximize revenue generation by upselling existing customers and networking with new leads.

Maintain a high cadence of face-to-face meetings, both at the venue and in the corporate community

Operate independently on a daily basis with a focus on outbound sales activities

Provide first in class service to existing and potential clients to ensure the highest level of guest satisfaction and resolve guest inquiries as necessary

Able to correspond with a wide range of stake holders in a courteous and professional manner.

Prepare and maintain all premium sales contractual agreements.

Maintain a database containing pertinent information on all premium clients within Playfly CRM system

Work alongside service team and other internal departments, such as Food & Beverage, Facilities and Horsemen's Relations to ensure premium client needs are met

Work with vendors when necessary on special premium event requests

Attend company and community events to build network and support premium sales and promotional efforts

Work w/ Playfly Aspire Leadership and the Strategic Analytics and Marketing team for support, strategy, and execution to ensure partner (NYRA) satisfaction

Additional responsibilities as assigned by Leadership Team

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

4-6 years of previous sports and/or event sales experience (horse racing experience preferred)

Ability to clearly communicate and present proposals to prospects

Desire to grow a career in the sports premium sales and/or hospitality industry

Strong work ethic, self-starter, demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail, a genuine desire to help people

Bachelor's Degree is preferred but not required

Computer proficient (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook)

Excellent communication (oral and written) and listening skills

Ability to remain focused on sales goals, work independently and as part of a team

Professional image and demeanor at all times

Ethics and Transparency: Understand and uphold the highest degree of ethical standard while improving the quality of racing operations at NYRA, maintaining the integrity of the organization. TRAVEL, LIFTING, PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Availability to work outside typical office hours including nights and weekends as needed

The work is sedentary in nature

Walking, standing, bending and carrying of light office items is required

The work is typically performed in an adequately lighted and climate-controlled office environment

May require occasional travel
