Director of Nursing, Home Health - full-time needed!

The Director of Nursing is responsible for the organization, coordination, supervision, and direction of the agency’s clinical services department which includes all skilled clinical staff, non-skilled staff and all contract staff providing direct services to our patients.

Duties Include:

  • Coordinates the planning and delivery of quality, safe and cost-effective care
  • Establishes and supervises a staffing plan that is executed by the appropriate staff
  • Participates in hiring process
  • Develops an evaluation strategy and plan to ensure quality health care delivery
  • Participates in the development and revision of both administrative and clinical policies and procedures that reflect all essential elements to render quality care
  • Monitors services and documentation to meet Home Health policies and procedures, Medicare/Medicaid guidelines and standards of Home Health Care
  • Maintains knowledge of licensure and accreditation requirements
  • Establishes methodology and supervises coordination of care by all disciplines
  • Provides leadership in promoting and maintaining standards of excellence in the delivery of Home Health Care
  • Supervises the quality of care being provided, teaches, and participates in various educational

Qualifications Include:

  • Licensed RN
  • Minimum of 2 years in a Home Health setting.
  • Minimum of 1 year as a supervisor in a Home Health.
  • Minimum of 1 year using OASIS.
  • Understanding of federal and state regulations on Home Health and Medicare.
  • Wellsky (Kinnser) experience preferred.
  • Physical within 6 months prior to first patient contact.
  • Current TB results (within last 12 months).
  • Current CPR Certification.
  • Valid driver’s license and proof of liability insurance on automobile.
  • Ability to work 8 AM – 5 PM Monday – Friday at our office in Minnetonka and see patients between that time if needed.
