Summary

The Toyoda Gosei Group is a leading global manufacturer of rubber and plastic automotive components, safety systems and LEDs. Globally Headquartered in Japan with a network of 67 group companies in 17 countries and regions, the Group brings its extensive range of products to customers all over the world.

Toyoda Gosei North America (headquartered in Troy, MI) has an opening for a Senior Network Engineer in the Computer Information System (CIS) department. The Senior Network Engineer is responsible providing professional level local and remote level network administration across Toyoda Gosei (TG) North America Corporation (TGNA) and TGNA Manufacturing Companies (AMCs).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot complex network connectivity issues across LAN, WAN, wireless, and SD-WAN environments by performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
• Provide technical expertise in the administration and support of enterprise public/private networks, including routing, switching, and network security systems.
• Configure, deploy, and maintain core network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, WAN circuits, and SD-WAN edge devices.
• Support dynamic routing protocols (OSPF, BGP) and manage network segmentation using VLANs, ACLs, and enterprise IP addressing standards.
• Install, support, and optimize LAN/WAN solutions, evaluating and recommending networking products, firmware updates, and architecture improvements.
• Perform technical analysis of network hardware, software, and transmission facilities using diagnostic tools such as packet captures, SNMP monitoring, and performance baseline.
• Monitor and manage network traffic, bandwidth utilization, and resource performance to ensure high availability and reliable data transmission.
• Identify, diagnose, and resolve network integrity and infrastructure issues related to hardware failures, configuration errors, and performance degradation.
• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot wireless LAN environments, including access points, controllers, RF optimization, and secure authentication methods.
• Support Cisco-based network environments, including switch/router configuration, topology design, and troubleshooting of enterprise network services.
• Schedule and execute infrastructure and security upgrades, ensuring minimal downtime and compliance with cybersecurity standards.
• Maintain secure network operations through enforcement of policies, procedures, patch management, and adherence to best practices.
• Lead ongoing implementation and support of IoT network systems across multiple TGNA group companies, ensuring scalability and secure connectivity.
• Administer Active Directory user accounts, permissions, and authentication controls in support of secure access management.
• Research, evaluate, and recommend improvements to server/network infrastructure, including upgrades, performance tuning, and lifecycle planning.
• Develop and maintain detailed network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, standards, and operational procedures.
• Drive optimization by being actively engaged in continuous improvement efforts (kaizen)
• This role requires the completion of other duties as assigned


Required Education, Experience, and Skills
Certifications and Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Networking experience or related field, or equivalent years of experience is required
• CCNA Certification is preferred


Experience

• 4 to 8 Years of experience in Networking is required
• Strong knowledge of Network design/implementation/troubleshooting is required
• Experience in troubleshooting and managing system connections, routers, and switches is preferred
