Job description

On-Prem Network Engineer

Location: New York, Pittsburgh, or Lake Mary (onsite 4+ days/week) Contract: 12+ Months | Mon–Fri 8 AM–5 PM EST Pay Rate: $75 - $80/Hr on W2

As a Data Center Network Engineer, some of the key job responsibilities may include:

  • Designing and implementing network infrastructure to support the needs of the organization, including data center networking, virtualization, and cloud computing.
  • Configuring and managing network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Implementing network security measures to protect the organization's data and ensure compliance with security policies and regulations.
  • Troubleshooting network issues and performing regular maintenance and upgrades to the network infrastructure.
  • Collaborating with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration of network infrastructure with other systems and applications.
  • Staying up to date with the latest trends and technologies in network engineering and implementing new tools and techniques as necessary.
  • Participating in the design and implementation of disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
  • Documenting network infrastructure and configurations for reference and troubleshooting purposes.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with vendors and partners to ensure the smooth operation of the network infrastructure.

Required

  • Minimum 7 years of experience.
  • Cloud engineer (Azure) going from cloud to on-prem.
  • Must have experience with routing/switching in BGP.
  • Cisco ACI to secure cloud environment.
  • Layer 2 and 3 technologies for Cisco Nexus.
  • Financial services experience is a plus.
