Job Summary

The Donati Brashear Law Firm is looking for a hard-working Legal Assistant to join our busy law office. You will help our lawyers manage cases, communicate with clients, and keep our files organized. The ideal person pays close attention to detail and knows how to use work in a fast-paced environment.


Main Duties

• Document Prep: Draft and proofread motions, pleadings, discovery, deficiency notices

• File Management: Organize digital and paper case files and track important calendar deadlines

• Client Care: Answer phone calls, greet visitors, and update clients on case progress.

• Research & Support: Help gather facts and look up basic legal rules or case files.


Skills and Qualifications

• Experience: 1 to 3 years’ experience working in specifically Family Law cases.

• Computer Skills: Good with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Dropbox, MyCase, Adobe Acrobat.

• Communication: Clear speaking and writing skills for talking with clients and courts.

• Education: High school diploma required; college degree or paralegal certificate is a plus.
