Job description

Mu-Del Electronics in looking for an RF/Microwave engineer for product design & development and manufacturing of millimeter-wave active/passive components/sub-systems covering a wide frequency spectrum from DC to 40 GHz, including RF switches, Up/Down Converters and Multicouplers.

This job requires a highly-motivated individual who is comfortable performing various electrical engineering/RF design, development and validation tasks. Must be able to generate innovative electrical / digital / RF/ power management designs with cross-functional teams that meet specific customer needs and market requirements.

The engineer will work closely with other engineering disciplines, marketing, quality and manufacturing teams to create high quality RF products. Candidate must be able to execute design concepts in all phases of a development cycle in a timely manner. Must be able to manage, track and execute multiple priorities within schedule requirements.

Key Qualifications

  • BSEE degree, MSEE optional
  • 0 to 5+ years of relevant experience in Design and Manufacturing of RF Products and sub-assemblies (Active and Passive) with mechanical engineering background/capability
  • Design, specification and verification experience of assemblies with synthesizers, amplifiers, power detectors, filter design, up/down converters, etc.
  • In-depth understanding of RF concepts such as impedance matching, impedance transformation, distributed systems, passive RLC and resonant circuits, noise, linearity, bandwidth, and stability
  • Ability to learn RF filter design and tuning (Lumped Component and Cavity)
  • Experience of RF and microwave test equipment including Network Analyzers and spectrum analysis, Noise Figure; Familiarity with RF tuning and filter testing is a plus
  • Work experience with RF design simulation techniques and tools
  • Excellent hardware and software debugging skills
  • Quick/strong self-learning capability of new things and new skills, High attention to detail
  • Excellent people, written and communications skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced, innovative environment
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and responsibility in a team environment
