About the Employer
The Riverside County Office of Education (RCOE) is a service agency supporting the county's 23 school districts that serve nearly 430,000 students. RCOE provides administrative support to districts, leads programs for preschool, special education, pregnant minor, corrections, migrant, and vocational students, and offers professional training, support and resources for teachers, administrators, and staff throughout Riverside County.
Job Summary
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Program Development Specialist - Migrant Head Start Programs is responsible for facilitating Child Development Programs (Family Child Care Homes (FCC) and Center Based); school readiness and interpersonal skills through county-approved curriculum based on child assessment and outcomes data; monitoring, technical assistance, and ensures alignment between state and federal early childhood education frameworks; and monitoring of multiple center based or family child care provider sites. This is designated as a certificated management position and is part of the Management Leadership Team. This is a categorically funded position.
Requirements / Qualifications
  • Certification (Possession of or ability to obtain and maintain Classroom Assessment Scoring System (CLASS) Reliability certification within 6 months of hire.)
  • Copy of Transcript (Copy of transcript must be attached to your application. The transcript must be from a regionally accredited college/university and must show degree conferred date for Bachelor's degree in childhood development or closely related field. Master's degree desirable. Must attach transcript - Diploma copies will not be accepted)
  • Credential Copy (Possession of a valid California Program Director's Permit authorizing supervision of child development programs)
  • Letter of Introduction (Letter is required to be specific to this position)
