We're seeking an experienced and energetic General Manager to lead NOM Mexican Table + Tequila Bar, a vibrant full-service restaurant in the heart of Morristown, New Jersey.

The General Manager is responsible for the overall success of the restaurant, including the guest experience, team development, financial performance, operational execution, and compliance. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a passion for hospitality, Mexican-inspired cuisine, craft cocktails, and building high-performing teams.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Lead all daily restaurant operations while delivering an exceptional experience for every guest.• Recruit, train, develop, coach, and retain a high-performing management and hourly team.
• Create a welcoming, energetic, and hospitality-focused restaurant culture.
• Establish clear performance expectations and hold team members accountable.
• Oversee scheduling, labor management, payroll, inventory, purchasing, and cost controls.
• Manage the restaurant’s financial performance, including sales, labor, food costs, beverage costs, and profitability.
• Review financial reports and develop action plans to achieve established goals.
• Maintain high standards for food quality, beverage execution, cleanliness, safety, and restaurant appearance.
• Oversee bar operations and ensure responsible alcohol service and compliance with all applicable regulations.
• Respond promptly and professionally to guest feedback and resolve concerns.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and all federal, state, and local requirements.
• Partner with culinary, operations, human resources, and marketing teams to support restaurant initiatives.
• Build relationships within the Morristown community and identify opportunities to grow sales and guest loyalty.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

• At least 3–5 years of General Manager experience in a high-volume, full-service restaurant.
• Strong knowledge of restaurant operations, financial management, budgeting, and cost controls.
• Experience leading both front-of-house and back-of-house teams.
• Knowledge of bar operations, beverage programs, and responsible alcohol service.
• Proven ability to recruit, develop, motivate, and retain a strong team.
• Excellent leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to remain composed and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Working knowledge of scheduling, payroll, point-of-sale, and inventory-management systems.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• ServSafe Manager certification and applicable alcohol-service certification, or the ability to obtain them.
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
