Job description

Best Mexican Foods is seeking a driven, bilingual New Business Developer to help expand our presence throughout the Greater Philadelphia market. This is a true hunter role focused on opening new business and building relationships with independent Mexican restaurants and other foodservice operators.

As part of Legacy Food Group, Best Mexican Foods combines the entrepreneurial culture of a growing company with the resources and stability of a larger organization.
What you will do:
  • Prospect and develop new business opportunities throughout the Greater Philadelphia area. This includes Philadelphia County, Montgomery County, Delaware County, Chester County, Berks County and Lehigh Valley
  • Build relationships with restaurant owners, operators, chefs, and decision-makers
  • Conduct daily in-person sales calls and territory visits
  • Identify customer needs and present solutions that help grow their business
  • Generate and maintain a strong sales pipeline
  • Achieve monthly new account acquisition goals
  • Collaborate with inside sales, operations, and customer service teams to ensure successful onboarding of new customers
  • Maintain accurate customer and prospect information within company systems
  • Represent Best Mexican Foods professionally within the local foodservice community

Typical Work Week:
  • Monday through Friday
  • Limited travel within the territory
  • Occasional Sunday remote planning and administrative work

Compensation:
  • Base salary plus commission, with a total potential earnings range of $115,000 to $175,000 (or more) annually, depending on new business sales performance.

Requirements
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Foodservice sales experience - someone who has sold food in the past at a broadline or similar company
  • 1-2+ years of sales, business development, or customer-facing experience
  • Self-starter with strong prospecting and relationship-building skills
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
  • Ability to work independently and manage a territory
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Comfortable with cold calling, door-to-door prospecting, and developing new business

Preferred Qualifications
  • Restaurant industry experience
  • Beverage, food distribution, or hospitality sales background
  • Experience selling to independent restaurant operators

Performance Expectations
  • Open 6-8 new accounts per month
  • Maintain consistent weekly prospecting activity
  • Develop and grow long-term customer relationships
