SUMMARY: The Project Manager – Mechanical Construction is responsible for the planning, coordination, execution, and delivery of assigned mechanical construction projects. This role manages projects from pre-construction through closeout and is accountable for schedule, budget, quality, safety, and client satisfaction. The Project Manager works closely with internal teams, field personnel, subcontractors, and external stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.

This is an onsite position based in our Miami, FL (33186) office. While local candidates are encouraged to apply, we have a strong preference for individuals who bring experience delivering high-rise mechanical projects in northern, densely populated markets (such as New York or Washington), where project scale, complexity, and structured execution environments closely align with our operational needs. Relocation assistance is available for highly qualified candidates.

The ideal candidate is a proven mechanical construction Project Manager with strong expertise in HVAC, piping, and plumbing systems, who consistently delivers projects on schedule and within budget while effectively coordinating teams, subcontractors, and clients. This individual demonstrates a high level of accountability, professionalism, and follow-through, and has a track record of driving disciplined execution and reliable performance across project teams.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Project Planning & Execution
    • Manage all phases of mechanical construction projects, including pre-construction, execution, monitoring, and closeout
    • Develop detailed project schedules, budgets, work plans, and procurement strategies
    • Coordinate project startup activities and turnover to field teams
  • Financial & Contract Management
    • Track project costs, forecasts, and cash flow
    • Manage change orders, billing, and cost controls
    • Review contracts, drawings, and specifications to ensure full compliance with project requirements
  • Coordination & Communication
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients and project stakeholders
    • Coordinate with field leadership, engineering teams, subcontractors, and vendors
    • Facilitate project meetings and provide clear, consistent project status updates
  • Risk, Quality & Safety Management
    • Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies
    • Ensure adherence to company quality standards, safety programs, and regulatory requirements
    • Support jobsite safety initiatives and compliance efforts
  • Reporting & Documentation
    • Maintain accurate project documentation
    • Prepare internal reports related to schedule, cost, and performance metrics

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, and 5+ years of project management experience in mechanical contracting
  • Working knowledge of HVAC, piping, and plumbing systems, components, and mechanical design principles is necessary.
  • Proficiency with project management and construction-related software
  • Experience with project coordination software such as Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud / BIM 360, or similar.
  • Familiarity with Revit, AutoCAD, or other design platforms preferred.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
  • Eagerness to learn, problem-solve, and grow within a technical project environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills

WORK LOCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • This is a full-time onsite role located in Miami, FL (33186). Candidates must be able to work from the office on a daily basis.
  • We welcome candidates nationwide, with a preference for those who have experience operating in highly structured, complex project environments, particularly within northern urban markets. Relocation support will be provided for qualified candidates.
  • The standard schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with flexibility as needed to support business and project demands. Occasional weekend work may be required.
