This position is ideal for a hands-on leader supporting specialized global electric and electronic repair and maintenance, and an exclusive U.S. distributor of parts and service for Isotta Fraschini Motori engines.

Position Summary

The Marine Electrical Manager is responsible for leading all electrical activities related to the overhaul, installation, maintenance, and testing of marine propulsion and power generation systems. This position provides technical direction and oversight for electrical engineers, technicians, and field service personnel supporting marine diesel engine power systems products and services to defense and commercial industry customers. The Marine Electrical Manager will ensure all work completed is compliant with regulatory requirements. 


This is a leadership position with direct management/supervision of 2-6 employees. 


Domestic and international travel may be required.


Essential Functions

  • Lead electrical operations by coordinating electrical testing, calibration, troubleshooting of propulsion control and automation systems, monitoring, and auxiliary systems while supervising electrical personnel 
  • Interface directly with customers, OEMs, and internal engineering teams to resolve electrical and automation issues; provide technical guidance, and develop labor estimates for proposals and quotes
  • Develop and maintain electrical SOPs, test documentation, and supporting project documents, ensuring compliance with U.S. Navy, U.S. Coast Guard, OEM, MIL-SPEC, NAVSEA, and ISO 9001 requirements 
  • Support engine overhauls and new installations by overseeing electrical wiring, sensors, control panels, system integration, and configuration control, maintaining calibration records and electrical QA documentation in accordance with FMS's ISO 9001 Quality Management System
  • Other duties as assigned
