Description
The Production Control Manager is responsible for production planning and scheduling, inventory control, warehouse operations, shipping & receiving, and service parts management. This role ensures materials are available to support production, inventory remains accurate, customer orders ship on time, and service parts are readily available to support the field. The position serves as the primary owner of production control processes within the ERP system and works closely with manufacturing, procurement, engineering, quality, and customer Service.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain production schedules to meet customer demand and business objectives.
  • Manage inventory accuracy through cycle counts, transaction audits, and process discipline.
  • Oversee material planning, warehouse operations, and inventory control activities.
  • Manage shipping and receiving operations, ensuring timely and accurate material movement.
  • Coordinate material availability with procurement and suppliers.
  • Manage service parts inventory and fulfillment to support customer needs.
  • Maintain ERP data integrity including work orders, inventory transactions, planning parameters, and reporting.
  • Monitor key metrics including on-time delivery, inventory accuracy, inventory turns, schedule attainment, and service parts fill rates.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on material flow, inventory optimization, and operational efficiency.
  • Lead and develop Production Control, Warehouse, Shipping & Receiving, Inventory Control, and Service Parts personnel.

Requirements
Required:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Business, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in production control, materials management, inventory control, or manufacturing operations.
  • Strong ERP/MRP experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience managing production schedules, inventory, warehouse operations, and material flow.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
Preferred:
  • Experience with Infor SyteLine (CloudSuite Industrial).
  • APICS/ASCM certification (CPIM, CSCP, or equivalent).
  • Experience in low-to-medium volume assembly manufacturing.
  • Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement experience.
