Job description

We are looking for an experienced/professional multi-unit (retail) District Manager within Dallas / Fort Worth area.
Qualified applicants can earn: $70,000 to $110,000 per year
(Pay rate based on salary plus applicable monthly bonus based on district performance)
FirstCash(also known as First Cash Pawn, Cash America Pawn, Cashland, SuperPawn and other pawn brands) operates corporate owned, pawn and retail locations across the entire US and six-countries. Our District Manager Training program is designed to walk you, step-by-step, through every role within the field operations job evolution (i.e. Pawnbroker, Assistant Manager, Store Manager and District Manager).

Position Summary:
Our District Managers are responsible for developing, coaching and leading a team of Store Managers who can successfully execute all company initiatives while ensuring that all financial results meet or exceed plan. It is the responsibility of the District Manager to facilitate communication between the Regional Manager and the Store Managers and vice versa. The District Manager will make certain that all messages across the district remain consistent. This position will champion and facilitate the execution of all new company initiatives.
This position is a non-exempt position; PLUS District Managers can earn a bonus based on their district performance. The successful District Manager's actual pay will be based on various factors, such as: work location, qualifications and experience.
Responsibilities during the training process will include:

  • Directly supervises six to eight Store Managers and coaches them to proactively motivate and effectively manage and support their teams.
  • Actively develops business partner relationships with the Regional Manager, HR Business Partner and Corporate (FSC) personnel.
  • Develops and Builds Leadership Talent throughout the District by partnering with HR and Learning & Development to provide opportunities for high-level performers.
  • Recruits proactively from outside the company in order to improve the overall talent level within the District.
  • Ensures proper and effective execution of new company initiatives and policies.
  • Reviews District and store performance reports and discusses trends or issues with Store Managers and coaches them to correct these issues or to take advantage of opportunities.
  • Ensures good financial results and profitability through execution of the fundamentals of customer service and operations.
  • Balances monitoring store performance and compliance with onsite coaching and development of store personnel. A minimum of 90% of the work week is spent visiting stores, with the driving ability and transportation means necessary to travel between locations, to meetings, or to other districts to assist.
  • Focuses on key competitors and growth opportunities within the District and communicates findings to the Regional Manager. This includes possible store start?ups and acquisitions.
  • Collects and offers feedback on current programs and communicates identified best practices within the District to the Regional Manager.
  • Responds to distinctive features of local Districts to achieve the best results.
  • Empowers the Store Managers to be decision-makers while staying consistent with company/district strategies and/or policies.
  • Manages the district staffing and moves personnel around to improve performance or respond to sudden needs.
  • Builds goodwill and relationships within the communities in which we operate.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
  • Must have a valid driver's license and appropriate personal transportation to drive frequently throughout the workday, to and from stores as needed.
  • Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be willing and able to perform duties and tasks for extended periods of time (in accordance with federal, state, local law) some of which include, but are not limited to, standing, stooping, walking, climbing, and pushing, pulling and lifting.
  • Ability to work with firearms and to become firearms certified, including being the "Responsible Party" (FFL locations).
  • Able to work in multiple locations, as business needs dictate.
  • Must have the ability to work a flexible retail schedule based on business needs, including weekends and holidays.
  • Minimum of 5 years of management experience, preferably in a multi?unit environment
  • Ability to multi?task and prioritize, detail oriented
  • Ability to read and analyze financial reports
  • Quantitative aptitude and experience managing budgets
  • Desire and ability to coach and develop others
  • Excellent interpersonal, listening, verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office, Word, Outlook and Excel
  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
