We're looking for a Senior Learning & Development Design Specialist to lead the development and implementation of innovative learning experiences that help associates grow and perform at their best across TJX Canada. In this role, you'll manage multiple concurrent projects, creating instructor-led training, eLearning programs, and visual learning solutions while partnering with a wide range of collaborators. What You'll Do:
  • Leading projects of 6 months or less in duration with a varying span of complexity, across all functional groups, and includes developing project charters and project goals, creating milestones/Gantt charts (using Microsoft Project), meeting with business leads regularly to ensure alignment to project outcomes and meet business priorities.
  • Evaluates and assesses the delivery and use of various training processes, programs, products and support materials and makes revisions based on assessments.
  • Acts as the subject matter expert for design principles and concepts, leading the research on evidence based learning theories and applying standard methodologies in the areas of program design and evaluation.
  • Provides leadership to team members by providing coaching and mentoring on design work and technology knowledge sharing and organizing/leading specialist meetings.
About You:
  • Minimum 5 to 7 years of relative work experience in Instructional Design and/or e-learning design, facilitation experience is an asset.
  • Adult Learning or Instructional Design certificate/program completion.
  • Solid project management skills including preparing and maintaining detailed development plans for projects; understanding and applying principles of project control; ability to manage multiple projects to meet timelines and deliverables.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to read, write, communicate and interpret information accurately; able to develop and build relationships with internal and external partners / team members.
