Overview

This role focuses on identifying and securing new partnerships that satisfy current and future customer/prospect needs. The BDR will report to the Senior Manager of Partner Operations and will play a crucial role in driving Paycor's growth by generating new business opportunities. This position requires building cross-functional partnerships across product, sales, and strategy to uncover new partnership categories and potential partner targets. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating, managing, and executing the partner strategy, including identifying prospects that address client needs and product gaps. Critical thinking and decision-making are essential skills to successfully execute and manage this strategy. Additionally, the candidate will lead contract negotiations to hit revenue targets and drive mutually beneficial relationships between Paycor and its partners, while serving as the liaison between internal legal resources and external partner legal teams to ensure alignment on contract terms and agreements.


Responsibilities
  • Identify and secure new partnerships that align with customer needs by developing and executing a structured prospecting plan to target partnerships
  • Manages complex contract negotiation and works with legal counsel, as necessary, to minimize the contract phase and get new partners transition from prospects into active partnership as quickly as possible.
  • Develops and collaborates with business partners to implement strategies that effectively penetrate target partnerships, while maintaining ongoing communication with internal stakeholders to provide updates on roadmap progress, initiative status, and impact.
  • Gains a solid understanding of the Company’s market (product, service, competitors, marketplace, trends) to provide consistent information on the channel and partnerships.
  • Maintain deep knowledge of Paycor’s HCM solutions, existing partnership ecosystem, competitive landscape, and industry trends to effectively position the partnership program and identify strategic opportunities
  • Drive awareness and generate new partnership leads by executing marketing initiatives such as webinars, LinkedIn campaigns, and targeted content to attract prospects and expand the partner pipeline.
  • Tracks all partnership activities in PRM and CRM tools, manages a healthy pipeline to meet monthly and quarterly goals, and provides timely, accurate reporting on performance, partner growth.

  • 5 years of experience in BDR, Sales, or customer service experience at least 1+ years in sales or business development, preferably in SaaS or technology.
