Join Our Team as a Key Account Manager at HR Butler!

Are you a relationship-driven benefits professional who enjoys serving as a trusted advisor to clients? Do you thrive on building long-term partnerships, navigating complex benefit strategies, and delivering exceptional service? If so, we'd love to hear from YOU!

About the Role:

As a Key Account Manager, you'll serve as the primary relationship manager for a portfolio of our most significant client accounts. This role combines strategic account management with hands-on client support, requiring someone who can build trust, communicate effectively, and deliver proactive solutions. You'll work closely with carriers, clients, and internal teams to ensure an exceptional client experience while helping organizations maximize the value of their benefits programs.

This role requires a valid Ohio Health & Life Insurance license; or the ability to quickly obtain one.

What You'll Do:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned key accounts, building strong relationships with client leadership and stakeholders.
  • Lead benefit renewal discussions, helping clients evaluate options and make informed decisions regarding their benefits strategy.
  • Provide guidance and support on employe benefit programs, carrier offerings, and industry trends.
  • Collaborate with carriers and internal teams to resolve complex client concerns and ensure timely service delivery.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen client relationships through additional services, products, and strategic recommendations.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients to understand their goals, anticipate needs, and deliver proactive support.
  • Manage account activity, documentation, and follow-up while ensuring a high level of responsiveness and accountability.
  • Contribute to process improvements and client experience initiatives that support long-term client retention and growth.

What We're Looking For:

  • Relationship Builder: You enjoy developing trusted partnerships and serving as a strategic resource for clients.
  • Detail-Oriented: You're thorough, accurate, and take pride in doing things the right way.
  • Clear Communicator: You can explain benefits in a way that's easy to understand, whether over the phone, in writing, or in person.
  • Problem-Solver: You're resourceful and proactive when issues arise, and you know when to ask for help.
  • Benefits Expertise: You understand employee benefits programs, carrier relationships, and the factors that drive successful renewals and client outcomes.
  • HIPAA-Aware: You understand the importance of confidentiality and compliance, and you're able to manage sensitive information while following HIPAA guidelines.
  • Independent & Accountable: You can work independently, take ownership of your tasks, and know when to loop in your team for support.

Why Join Us?

  • Client-Centered Mission: Play a key role in helping businesses offer meaningful, compliant benefits to their employees.
  • Supportive Team Environment: Work with people who care about what they do - and each other.
  • Growth Opportunities: Expand your knowledge of benefits and business services in a company that encourages development.
  • Make a Difference: Build long-term partnerships with clients and help them feel confident in their benefit decisions.
