A Tulip App Designer is responsible for designing, building, and deploying manufacturing apps on the Tulip platform, a no-code/low-code platform used to digitize and optimize shop floor operations. The goal of Tulip apps is to streamline manufacturing processes, improve productivity, and enable real-time data collection and analysis without the need for complex coding skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • App Design and Development: Use Tulip's no-code/low-code tools to build custom apps for various manufacturing and operational processes. Design user interfaces and workflows to ensure ease of use on the shop floor. Integrate apps with existing machinery, sensors, and enterprise systems (e.g., MES) to streamline data collection and process management. Develop dashboards, forms, and reports to capture and visualize data in real-time. Incorporate decision logic, triggers, and automated workflows within the apps to optimize processes.
  • Integration and Connectivity: Connect Tulip apps to IoT devices, PLCs, and sensors on the shop floor to enable automated data capture. Use Tulip's API and connectors to integrate with systems like MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems), and other enterprise software.
  • Data Analytics and Reporting: Use Tulip's built-in analytics tools to design real-time dashboards that provide key insights into production metrics, such as cycle times, downtime, and quality.
  • Create custom reports that allow stakeholders to monitor process performance and make data-driven decisions.

Key Skills and Tools: Tulip Platform Expertise: Strong understanding of Tulip's app development, workflow automation, and analytics capabilities. No-Code/Low-Code Development: Experience using drag-and-drop interfaces and visual programming to build apps. Process Mapping and Optimization: Ability to understand and map out manufacturing workflows and design apps that improve efficiency.
